This was a piece filmed for Brigham Young University’s Independent Study Department in which I worked as the Key Grip and Dolly Grip. The shoot relied heavily on dolly work, shiny boards, several different diffusions, and a few long days in the sun. The most expensive part was probably the huge crane that we had to rent to lift the truck into the air for the “magic” shot. While a helicopter shot had been suggested as a final “establishing” shot to show the truck flying, the client deemed it too expensive. The piece still looks great. Devin does some really great work.
Directed and Filmed by Devin Graham.
